After two years of extensive renovation, the five-star-superior Hotel Schweizerhof Bern emerged once again in new splendour in the spring of 2011. The roots of this legendary hotel go back to 1859. Celebrities such as Peter Ustinov, Liz Taylor, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren and many others have sampled the Schweizerhof’s famous hospitality. The glamour and spirit have not disappeared. They live on at the Schweizerhof. Even today, this grandezza forms the foundation of the Schweizerhof and can be sensed throughout the hotel.
