All rooms are furnished with traditional beds, classical wooden cupboards and crisp terracotta floors. The oak beamed ceilings give the hotel a rustic and romantic flair. In addition, rooms come with modern equipment, satellite TV, telephone and a comfortable bathroom. Just as impressive as the rooms is the surrounding garden, where a large swimming pool awaits. Here, guests will find the perfect combination of beautiful views with the aroma of freshly cut grass and Mediterranean plants.

Historic Hotel: Medieval farmhouse with modern comfort
The history of the country house dates back to the 14th century when it was built. Even today in the 21st century, however, the building looks beautiful with its impressive stonework and wooden features. The interior of the hotel is also in keeping with the building’s history: high oak beamed ceilings, large dark wood furniture, wrought iron bedsteads and terracotta floors, all adding to the country charm. Nothing, however, is lacking when it comes to modern comfort: there is a large outdoor pool and all bathrooms are comfortable and contemporary.

Tuscany is famous for its excellent cuisine, and guests can experience it at the Belvedere di San Leonino. The morning breakfast buffet is varied and includes some home-made specialities. Later, guests can enjoy a coffee or aperitif throughout the day in the cosy rustic lounge-bar. The hotel’s restaurant ’Il Cortile’ offers a new menu every evening, that can be enjoyed by candlelight and with the famous Gallo Nero wine of the region. Around the Belvedere di San Leonino there is something for everyone to do. As well as wine tasting in the Castellare vineyeards in Castellina, the hotel offers cooking courses for those who wish to continue enjoying Tuscan cuisine after their holiday has come to an end. The expansive Chianti region can itself be explored by bike, motor scooter or even by horse-back. In addition to these sporty ventures, guests can enjoy the thermal bath of the hotel or relax in the hotel’s pool, which offers views over the vineyards and beautiful landscapes. Furthermore, guests can visit the local shops and book tours for museums and the glass-blowing workshop in Colle Val d’Elsa.
