The scent of Swiss stone pine and dried mountain herbs lingers in the hallways, while outside the Lech River rushes through one of the quietest valleys in the Alps. The Hauserei focuses on authentic materials, herbal cuisine sourced from its own farm garden, and a valley that has preserved its unspoiled character. If you’re looking for relaxation without a wellness facility and instead value nature, tranquility, and character, this is the perfect place for you.

Hotel description
Design Hotel
27 individually designed rooms spread across two buildings, each with its own unique character: the main building, featuring a rustic Tyrolean country house style with plenty of wood, a warm, inviting atmosphere, and handcrafted details from the Lech Valley, solid wood furniture from our own carpentry shop; the new building features a casual retro design, mattresses from GEA-Waldviertler, clean lines, and timeless furnishings in subtle colors; suites with private infrared cabins or hot tubs, local natural materials such as spruce, silver fir, ash, and Swiss stone pine in all rooms, complemented by loden, linen, and natural stone; dried herbs, herbal motifs, and natural scents as recurring design elements; and selected vintage pieces and historic beams that tell the 180-year history of the hotel, family-run by the Hauser family
Mountain Hotel
Located in the village of Steeg in the Lech Valley, one of Europe’s last largely unspoiled Alpine regions without a highway or mass tourism, surrounded by the Lech Valley and Allgäu Alps, right on the Lech River—one of Europe’s last free-flowing wild rivers— in winter, just a short distance from the Arlberg, home to Austria’s largest ski area, with a free ski bus and a heated ski storage room with ski boot dryers; in summer, hiking, mountain tours, and nature experiences in unspoiled countryside, with clear air and dark, starry nights free from light pollution
Spa Hotel
A low-key wellness concept featuring a panoramic sauna and Sky Lounge, a steam room, a Physiotherm infrared cabin, bio sauna, massage services, a focus on tranquility, suites with an infrared cabin or hot tub, reading nooks and terraces as retreats, the wild Lech River as a natural place of power right outside the door, the herbal world of the Lech Valley as a central element, featuring plants from the hotel’s own farm garden, with the healing power of local herbs evident in the cuisine and atmosphere throughout the entire property
