It was built in 1680 and originally served as a court for the local aristocracy. The hotel was opened in 1970, saving the historic building from threatened demolition. The Taverna & Trattoria Palio is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays, on these days hotel guests can enjoy German cuisine in the nearby Thaers Wirtshaus. Wednesdays-Fridays the Taverna & Trattoria welcomes guests from 6:00pm- 9:30pm. Saturdays & Sundays the Taverna & Trattoria Palio team is there from 12:30pm- 9:30pm.
