Hotel description
The Caserio de Mozaga is perfect for inquisitive travelers who are interested in the more remote areas away from the busy coastal and tourist resorts. Guests stay in an old farmhouse that’s in a traditional Canary Islands style. From all sides it offers clear views of the typical volcanic landscape which stretches to the horizon. The grounds are well-maintained and full of colorful flowers, cacti and palm trees with wooden and paved paths leading up to the individual houses. As well as this beautiful atmosphere, you’ll also love the delicious traditional Lanzarote cuisine served in the small hotel restaurant.
Country hotel: Absolute relaxation & a rural atmosphere
The hotel is located in a wonderfully quiet area at the edge of the village on grounds of around 10,000sqm with secluded areas where you can relax under shady palm trees. From here there are plenty of day trips that will take you in all directions so it’s essential to have a car to make the most of the hotel’s rural setting.
Historic: From generation to generation
When you arrive at the Caserio de Mozaga, its traditional country house architecture will catch your eye straight away. The cube-shaped design and the snow-white exterior are the typical characteristics. The entire property is a listed building and has been passed down from generation to generation of the same family, who even today live in part of the house. It was built in the late 18th century and was converted into a hotel in the late 1990s by the current owner and hostess. The main elements of the historic building and especially the atmosphere have been preserved. In the house you’ll find objects, furniture and memorabilia that belonged to the previous generations of owners. The classic decor of the 9 guest rooms is befitting of the long history of the building but you can also expect a modern-day approach to the quality of amenities. Amongst the furniture you will find real one-off pieces and antiques. The atmosphere, however, remains light, uncomplicated and friendly.
Romantic: Relaxing Canary Islands country house
This hotel is absolutely perfect for couples who are looking for a relaxed break but also want to get to know Lanzarote and its people and take day trips out together. Seek out a secluded spot in the garden, lie on a sunlounger and feel the idyllic atmosphere of the old farmhouse work its magic on you. As the sun starts to go down a beautiful light emerges under the seemingly endless sky. Ideal for enjoying a glass of wine or a candlelit dinner on the terrace restaurant..
Food & drink: Delicious breakfast & restaurant in a former stables
Between 8.30 and 10.30am guests can enjoy an excellent breakfast with lots of regional specialties and eggs as you like them. The hotel restaurant has been designed with the utmost attention to detail and is housed in the old stables. The delicious typical Canary Islands cuisine that’s served here is also a popular choice amongst the locals who like to dine out here in the evenings.
Location: Idyllic and very central
