All rooms and suites at the Sonesta Fort Lauderdale Resort feature large windows and a balcony. The high-quality furnishings include king-sized beds with pillow top mattresses, a desk and white leather furniture. Crisp white linen fabrics exude a casual elegance and offer superior comfort. The only thing separating the hotel from Fort Lauderdale’s 12km-long white sandy beach is Beach Boulevard - a palm-lined promenade with small shops, restaurants and cafes. The beaches in Fort Lauderdale are among the safest and cleanest in the US. As well as swimming and sunbathing, water sports such as snorkelling, surfing and canoeing are possible at the beach. Sun umbrellas are available for guests at both the pool and on the beach. Fort Lauderdale is notable for its many attractive canals and waterways, which can be explored by water taxis. The Riverwalk Arts & Entertainment District is close by, and offers museums, theatres and the opera. Port Everglades, large cruise ships dock, is also nearby.

Breakfast is served each morning from 06.30 in the Beachfront Bistro. Breakfast can also be enjoyed in-room on request. The bistro and wine bar serves typical American favourites for lunch and dinner, alongside excellent wines. The outstanding ocean views from the bistro are an extra bonus. Small snacks, cocktails and soft drinks are available to guests at the poolside and lounge bars.
