As soon as you arrive here, you’ll fall head over heels in love with this charming Tuscan villa, situated just a few kilometers outside of Montepulciano. It’s hard to decide whether you prefer the inside or the outside, as this villa dating back to the 18th century not only offers beautifully restored rooms but also a pretty park with a long gravel path, neoclassical statues, lawns fringed with hedges and an idyllic travertine swimming pool.
The Villa Poggiano
An extensive restoration, which was completed in the mid-2000s, has turned this old aristocratic residence into a magnificent hotel. With many original elements still remaining, like the huge fireplaces, wide walkways, vaulted ceilings and neoclassical ornaments, this villa has maintained much of its stately feel. Select items of period furniture complete the look of this authentic historic country house hotel. But the finishing touch is the view out the windows - across the gently rolling countryside with its vineyards that produce the world-famous Montepulciano.
