Honeymoon: Chic, California-style suites
The perfect place for a honeymoon or a romantic vacation on Lake Maggiore! This is what immediately comes to mind when you explore the hotel and see the suites. All guest rooms have a lake view and are equipped with all modern comforts. These include a Nespresso coffee machine, plush bathrobes and slippers, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and a mini-bar. The entire room design was created by Swiss-born Silvia Utiger, who has lived in America for over 20 years. And indeed, there is a hint of California in the brightly decorated rooms with their elegant yet light-footed furnishings.

Hotel by the lake: Down by foot, up by cable car
The walk down to Locarno on the lake is a beautiful 20 minute walk. Alternatively, you can take the cable car down and back in a few minutes. It is only about 3 minutes by car.
Food & Drink: Fresh pasta & panoramic views
Both in the main restaurant, il Ristorante, and on the garden terrace by the pool, you can enjoy delicious light Italian and Mediterranean cuisine accompanied by a wine from the hotel's own cellar and a fantastic view of the lake and mountains.
Leisure & Sports: Excursions and pool days
In addition to Locarno, Ascona and Lake Maggiore, Villa Orselina is the perfect starting point for many worthwhile excursions. For example, you can take the cable car almost directly from the hotel to the Cimetta lookout point (1670 meters) for a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the lake and mountains. The famous Ticino pilgrimage church of Madonna del Sasso is also within walking distance. Athletic guests can make reservations for the golf course and mountain sports activities at the villa. There is also a well-equipped gym and even a tennis court.

Villa Orselina is located about 300 meters above the lake and Locarno. If you arrive without a car, it can be reached by cable car or bus. Upon request, our staff will pick you up at the station free of charge.
