As the name suggests, this contemporary mountain and spa hotel is situated in Zell am See, known all around the world as a top winter sports destination. But what’s so special about this place is that spa lovers can take it in turns to visit the hotel’s own Panorama Spa, which is reserved for guests’ use, and the town’s huge thermal baths. The modern architecture of the property, which houses 160 light, contemporary rooms with a trendy, alpine look, is just as appealing. As well as the extensive spa facilities, hotel guests can also go skiing, mountain biking, hiking or play golf. From morning till evening, you’re also treated to contemporary, international dining.
The highlight is the hotel’s own Panorama SPA on the leafy hotel roof with range of saunas, swimming pool and lawn area. From here you can also enjoy stunning views over the surrounding mountains and the Kitzsteinhorn. This area is reserved for hotel guests. But you can also visit the next-door public thermal baths free of charge. It offers everything you need to relax and soothe sore muscles after a day in the mountains.
In the winter a free ski shuttle drops guests at the cable car station where you can head to three nearby ski areas: the glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn for advanced skiers, the family and beginner-friendly Maiskogel and the demanding Schmittenhöhe with 25km of black pistes.
The dining options at the TAUERN SPA Zell am See – Kaprun range from typical Austrian specialties to international cuisine. Start the day with the delicious, regionally inspired breakfast buffet. Make sure you stay for the weekly Sunday brunch! For lunch and dinner guests have the choice between the hotel restaurant, a bistro in the sauna area, and a separate restaurant in the thermal baths.
As well as the mountain and winter sports options, the TAUERN Spa Zell am See – Kaprun also offers a range of activities for anyone who wants to keep fit while they’re on holiday. The hotel has a modern equipped gym and outdoor fitness classes for all ages and abilities – from gentle walking and yoga to guided downhill mountain biking for advanced cyclists.
The TAUERN SPA Zell am See is situated in a secluded area, 2km north of Kaprun with 360-degree views over picturesque mountain chains and peaks. The center of Zell am See is about 8km away.
