A Luxury Hotel: Historical elegance in modern and magnificent suites
Each of Palais Coburg´s 34 suites are extensively equipped with comforts and include a kitchen, a luxury bathroom and separate guest toilet. The separate living and sleeping areas each have a TV and telephone, and the free WiFi and individually controlled air conditioning is available throughout the suite. The suites are between 54 and165 square meters in size, with some divided over two floors. Each of the suites honours a historical figure from the royal family of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha.

Located on its top floor is the Palais Coburg´s exclusive spa which overlooks the city´s parks and rooftops. The spa oasis includes a steam room, a Finnish sauna, a swimming pool and a sun terrace. Guests can also indulge in one of the spa´s many beauty treatments or massage services, for which both only exclusive products are used. For guests wishing to stay in shape while on holiday, the spa also offers a fitness room. The spa´s especially relaxing atmosphere is created in part by its thoughtful, colour-blended interior design.
A Historic Hotel: A royal sojourn in a former noble residence
Built upon the foundation of the city´s defense structure erected in 1555 and known as the Braunbastei, the Palais Coburg was constructed between 1840 and 1845. Boasting impressive neoclassical architecture and commissioned originally by the Prince of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, this magnificent palace was then used as a royal family´s home up until it was sold in 1970s. With careful restoration done between 2000 and 2003, the palace´s exterior and interior still bear witness to its royal heritage with stately and impressive rooms. The historical elements exist alongside stylish décor and modern amenities, providing an elegant transition from the past into modernity.

The Palais Coburg´s exclusive spa area which overlooks the city and a park offers an inviting pool, sauna, steam room and sun terrace to relax on. From morning to night, the Palais Coburg offers the highest level of culinary quality and satisfaction. The hotel offers two restaurants, one run by the prestigious chef Silvio Nickol, and the other headed by Martin Nuart, who previously worked with Silvio Nickol. Chef Nuart´s "Clementine" offers à la carte breakfast which can be savoured by guests either in their own suites or in the restaurant which is set against the picturesque backdrop of a magnolia garden. For breakfast alone, Chef Nuart concocts sophisticated creations including Carinthian specialties such as Haden (a kind of buckwheat polenta), Frigga (a cheese and bacon dish) as well as cake, sheep milk yoghurt and Viennese breakfast with various styles of eggs. Lunch and dinner include exquisite dishes such as knuckle of lamb with sweet potatoes or lemon grass pike. Afternoon snack options include treats such as warm potato bread served with foamed salt butter. With numerous awards, stars and accolades, the Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant sparkles with elegance, proffering Austrian and international cuisine. In addition to creating a surprising menu of award-winning dishes, Chef Nickol also brilliantly complements his work with jewels from the walk-in wine cellar.
