Hotel description
Anyone looking to spend a skiing or hiking vacation in contemporary style has every reason to check into this Swiss mountain hotel. At the Nira Alpina, international lifestyle mixes with Swiss tradition to form a cohesive concept. Behind an impressive glass and wood façade in terraced style, this modern wellness hotel treats its guests with 70 comfortable rooms, a gourmet restaurant and a spa. Above and beyond that, there is a rooftop bar, an in-house bakery, a bistro and a cozy après-ski cabin. As a result, an all-round relaxed experience is guaranteed here with everything one can enjoy in the mountains not least of which is a wonderful view of the Swiss alps from room balconies or the pool itself.
Ski hotel: Downhill skiing, cross-country & snowboarding
The hotel´s wellness spa is not too large, but nevertheless (or perhaps just for this reason) absolutely worth a visit. From a large relaxation pool and jacuzzi, a view opens out through a panorama glass wall onto the peaks of the Graubündner Alps. Additionally, a sauna, steam bath, relaxation room with colored light fixtures, and a small fitness center are available. In a separate treatment room, various massages, body and face treatments are offered.
Wellness hotel: Panorama sauna & àpres-ski massages
The Nira Spa experience goes beyond physical revitalisation to include all the elements of holistic, stress-free living. Amid peaceful surroundings rivaling any St. Moritz spa, our aim is to create harmony between the inner and outer self. You’ll feel total renewal as you rediscover tranquillity through the nurturing touch of our therapists’ expert, caring hands. From the relaxation room to the well-equipped gym, from the sauna to the whirlpool, you’ll find a sanctuary devoted to physical and mental wellbeing. Cocooned from the hotel’s hurly-burly, you’ll find peace.
Athletics & Leisure: Mountain hikes in summer
A direct connection to the Corvatsch lift is a real plus in summer as well. Within seven minutes, guests can reach the mid-station (Murtèl) from which there are beautiful mountain hikes (for example to Furtschellas). Or guests can go all the way to Piz Corvatsch and experience a one-of-a-kind panorama.
Food & Drink: Gourmet cuisine with an Asian touch & a Swiss parlor restaurant
The culinary selection at the Nira Alpina includes a gourmet restaurant with Asian-influenced cuisine, a trattoria in Swiss cabin style, a cozy après ski cabin and a trendily styled rooftop lounge. Snacks between meals such as a sensational club sandwich are provided by a bistro. Delicious cakes and packed lunches are available at the in-house bakery.
Location: Between mountains, lake and gondola
The Nira Alpina is located in Surlej, part of the small skiing town of Silvaplana, about 6 km south of St. Moritz. It is directly connected with the Corvatsch valley station through a passage, and enjoys an excellent view of the surrounding mountains and Silvaplana Lake. Guests arriving by auto will find an underground garage in the hotel.
