Mallnitz and the hotel are situated at an altitude of 1,200 m above sea level, nestled between the great Carinthian mountain slopes, from the hotel it's not far to the nearest lifts, the village is in the Ankogel ski area with 6 lifts, there is the longest slope in Carinthia, a special highlight for families is the nearby Jamnigalm toboggan run, in summer there are still 3 slopes open on the Mölltal glacier, in the Hotel Bergkristall there is a ski and snowboard room, in addition ski packages can be booked
