Historic hotel: 400-year history combined with modern architecture
That the former summer palace Velden is over 400 years old cannot be seen in the buildings themselves. Converted into a palace hotel in 1926, the site was restored in the 1990s on behalf of the well-known playboy Gunter Sachs, and extended with a modern annexe. The result is a successful mix of modern and historical architecture, impressively complementing the luxurious ambience of the House. Velden Palace was the location of the popular TV series "Ein Schloss am Wörthersee" ("A palace on Wörthersee) in the early 1990s.

Only the public road Seecorso separates the historic Schlosshotel Velden from the shores of the lake, and the hotel complex is located on both sides of the road.
