Beach: Sandy beach at your doorstep, diving site just off the coast
The park-like lawns in front of the hotel give way to white sandy beach. Palm trees and exotic plants provide shade and a backdrop for sunbathing or swimming in the Indian Ocean. The Balaclava Maurice Marine Park is located close to the resort. Here guided diving tours can be undertaken, which introduce the diver to a fascinating underwater world with numerous species of fish, coral, anemones and colorful reef dwellers. With its deep blue lagoon and sheltered location, the marine park offers optimal conditions for snorkeling as well.
Family hotel: Spacious accommodation and active childcare
For families, rooms and apartments of up to 120 m², with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, are offered. All rooms feature individually-controlled air conditioning, as well as satellite TV, private safe, free Wi-Fi and a small tea and coffee kitchenette. 3- to 12-year-olds are well catered for at the Mini Club, while the Teenager-Program offers adolescents sports and fun with their peers. At dinner, a nightly changing theme ensures culinary diversity in addition to a buffet offering many specialties. The pool- and beach-service, which serves drinks and snacks on the beach, is especially popular. The restaurants are also stylistically distinguishable. La Casa is an Italian restaurant, perfect for a romantic evening. Families will appreciate Le Superbe with its varied children’s menu and variety of vegetarian dishes. If you prefer a less formal dinner, the beautifully decorated beachfront restaurant L ’ Horizon is the place to go. The newest member is Morris Beef, an elegant steakhouse where adults only can enjoy delicious meats.
Sport & leisure: Sandy beach, sauna, golf and animal parks
The white sandy beach at your doorstep offers swimming fun against a tropical backdrop, as does the resort’s swimming pool with attached swimming pool bar. The generously equipped fitness center offers well-maintained facilities with modern cardio and strength equipment, as well as Power Plate, Spinning and Aquafit classes. For relaxation, a sauna and Hammam are available. For day trips, the La Vanille Crocodile Park is only 60km away, on the edge of the Rivière des Anguilles. In addition to large lizards, the park also has Nile crocodiles, giant tortoises, fruit bats and other species. Colorful beauty can be found in the Casela Bird Park on the Rivière Noire, 50 km further South. Some of the birds here are endemic to the island. On this trip a visit to one of the most beautiful attractions on Mauritius can also be explored -- just 10 km away, the Casela Nature and Leisure Park. Professional guides bring vacationers to the watering holes and feeding grounds of this species-rich wildlife area, guaranteeing a safari with many wild animal sightings.
