The 6 double and 2 triple rooms, as well as one suite, of the Agriturismo Natura e Salute have been lovingly furnished, carefully renovated, and equipped with modern bathrooms. Some also have their own fireplace. The quiet location is exceptional, the reception welcome, the service perfect. A vacation in this Tuscan homestead, with its rustic stone walls and elegant arches, is completed by a small but attractive swimming pool, a large garden and the excellent cuisine of Mamma Emilia.

Homestead: Rural charm, rustic interiors

The romantic rural manor, with its rustic beams, offers large, quiet rooms with Tuscan décor. Some rooms also have cosy log fires. The tastefully decorated interior and the hand-painted nature motifs on the beds reflect the hotel’s close proximity to nature. Signora Emilia’s kitchen offers high quality, organic food. Fresh vegetables, jams and olive oil come from the homestead’s own garden, and sausage is produced from its own livestock. An oak forest and idyllic olive groves and vegetable fields enhance the rural ambience.

Historical: Romance in old stone walls

Surrounded by stone walls dating back to 1600, the cosy country hotel grounds and buildings tell a centuries-old story. The rooms are furnished with selected pieces which give the rooms a rustic and cosy touch. The modern bathroom and a swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols contrast beautifully with the historical ambience of the homestead itself.

Organic: High quality produce from the homestead’s own garden

The majority of products, served in the form of Tuscan specialities, are home-grown, reflecting the earthiness of simple country cuisine. Whether vegetables, fruit or olive oil, at Natura e Salute great value is put on on an ecological cultivation. A guided tour through the gardens is available on request.

Eating & drinking: Organic products of self-cultivation, cuisine of Tuscany

The breakfast buffet in the sunlit dining room with portico offers home-baked fresh bread and cakes and homemade jam. In the evenings, Mamma Emilia cooks typical Tuscan specialities, served with home-grown wine. Cooking classes are also offered for enthusiastic cooks (minimum 8 persons per course). A highlight: Signora Carla cooking jam -- she doesn’t mind if you look over her shoulder. Further Tuscan specialities are available in the restaurants of the surrounding villages, such as San Gimignano, 15 minutes drive away.

Sport & leisure time: Versatile day trips and relaxation by the pool

At the hotel itself, guests can swim in the pool. Recreational facilities offered in the area range from a romantic ride through the vineyards, to cycling tours, to walks through olive groves and forests. Guests can also take a day trip to San Gimignano, 9 km away: 15 minutes by car or taxi. The old village impresses with its beautiful location and famous medieval towers.

Location: Off the main routes, picture-perfect Tuscany

The Agriturismo Natura e Salute lies slightly elevated in the Jacopino Valley, between San Gimignano and Volterra, at the intersection of the three provinces of Siena, Florence and Pisa. Most of the rooms have a far view over the Tuscan hills, and through a few windows you can watch the birds in the surrounding oak forest. The hotspots of Tuscany, such as Volterra, Siena, Florence and Pisa are easily accessible by car (Volterra 25 km, Siena 40 km, Florence 50 km, Pisa 60 km). A walk through the woods leads to the archaeologically valuable ruins of Castelvecchio.
