The estate of this romantic 4 star hotel in Catalonia dates back to the second half of the nineteenth century. The historic building of the beach hotel was once occupied by the king of Spain, Alfonso XII. The estate of the historic Hotel Tancat de Codorniu stretches out over 3.5 acres of land and is completely enclosed with 2,500 orange trees in full production. The interior style of this romantic hotel in Catalonia is both modern and traditional with neutral colors, rattan furniture and gentle lighting. There is also a wonderful lounging porch, complete with hammocks, and with access to the garden and the two swimming pools.

The romantic Hotel Tancat de Codorniu has eight bedrooms. There are four suites and four double rooms, all of which are equipped with the latest in technology, such as soundproofing, air conditioning, satellite TV, phone, mini bar and heating. The Beach Hotel Tancat de Codorniu has recently opened three special double rooms, one of which has a sauna, the other has massage bath and a third one with jacuzzi in the terrace. The Alfonso XII suite has both a sea view and terrace. The romantic rooms retain a light and airy feel to them, being decorated with tasteful modern furnishings, where the combination of light textured colors works well with the brown hues of the beamed roofs.
