When you first arrive on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, you must drink your fill of the magnificent view of the sea across the hotel garden before you will even be able to turn your attention to the hotel itself. Many of the tastefully decorated rooms and suites look out over the neighbouring golf course and the sea. This luxury hotel is also perfect as a base for a beach holiday, only around 200m from the wide sandy beach of St. Ouen’s Bay. Under the leadership of the head chef Mark Jordan, the hotel restaurant, Ocean, has held Michelin star status consistently since 2007. The restaurant is sophisticated and the style has a maritime twist, decorated in blues and whites. Gourmet Mediterranean cuisine with a British twist is served. The experienced resident sommelier. Sergio dos Santos, can recommend the perfect accompanying wine to your meal from an extensive wine list. The whole dining experience is crowned by a wonderful view over the hotel garden and the sea.
Beach Hotel: 8km of beach right outside your door
From its slightly elevated position, The Atlantic Hotel overlooks St. Ouen’s Bay with its smooth, wide beach, a paradise for beach surfers, windsurfers, kitesurfers and wave riders. However, the 8km long beach has plenty of room for everyone, including sunbathers and swimmers. As the beach lies on the Atlantic coast, the surf can be very strong, so swimmers are advised to only bathe where signs indicate it is safe to do so.
Food and Drink: English breakfast and an unforgettable gourmet menu
The restaurant Ocean serves a delicious typical English breakfast from 7am at your table, the perfect introduction to the high class gourmet gastronomy on offer at this luxury hotel. At lunchtime and in the evenings, you can order seasonal dishes from the Michelin star chef Mark Jordan à la carte or choose from the menu, which changes daily.
Sport and Leisure: tennis, gym and sauna
The leisure facilities at the hotel include a tennis court and a small fitness centre. However, those looking for pure relaxation need only visit the hotel’s own sauna centre, the Palm Club. Several saunas, a whirlpool and an indoor swimming pool are on offer, open daily between 7.30am and 7.30pm.
