Literally every winter sport is available at or around the Spa Hotel Jagdhof. Above all, alpine skiing and snowboarding at Austria’s largest glacier skiing area—the Stubaier glacier. A ski shuttle takes guests from the hotel to the chairlift in a matter of minutes. Anyone who would rather glide through the fascinating Tyrolian mountain landscape at a more leisurely pace can set out on cross-country skis from the hotel door out into the area’s 130 km trail network. Or try something off the beaten path: for example snowshoe hikes, nighttime sledding in the moonlight, or zooming over the glacier with a snowkite. Lift tickets are available in the hotel, as well as free snowshoe rentals. On request, skis can be rented through a local sport shop.

Lunch and dinner showcase delicious Tyrolian dishes with a modern touch. Gourmands should absolutely visit the hotel’s gourmet restaurant Hubertusstuben. Head chef Martin Schneider earned two chef’s hats from Gault Millau for his cuisine. Another highlight—a tiny fondue restaurant in an old ski gondola!
