Hotel description
Nestled in the Tyrolian Stubai Valley, the Spa Hotel Jagdhof charms guests with modern elements (such as a fantastic spa and wellness facility) in a typical Tyrolian atmosphere. Anyone who loves to be surrounded by natural wood will never want to leave. All 70 double rooms, suites and apartments feature wood-lined walls, furniture made of local pine wood and stylish oak floors combined with typical Alpine colors and patterns to create a cozy feeling. Tyrolian hospitality is seasoned and garnished by head chef Martin Schneider in the hotel’s gourmet restaurant.
Ski Hotel: Broad range of winter sports
Literally every winter sport is available at or around the Spa Hotel Jagdhof. Above all, alpine skiing and snowboarding at Austria’s largest glacier skiing area—the Stubaier glacier. A ski shuttle takes guests from the hotel to the chairlift in a matter of minutes. Anyone who would rather glide through the fascinating Tyrolian mountain landscape at a more leisurely pace can set out on cross-country skis from the hotel door out into the area’s 130 km trail network. Or try something off the beaten path: for example snowshoe hikes, nighttime sledding in the moonlight, or zooming over the glacier with a snowkite. Lift tickets are available in the hotel, as well as free snowshoe rentals. On request, skis can be rented through a local sport shop.
Family Hotel: By families, for families
For several generations, the Jagdhof has been a traditional family business. What makes this mountain hotel attractive is highly personal service combined with the qualities of a true 5-star hotel. For this reason, the hotel is the perfect vacation destination for discerning families. Two large family apartments are situated in a neighboring building, with two separate bedrooms, a living room with wood stove, and a comfortable bath.
Wellness hotel: Wellness paradise for him and her
After hiking and skiing, or when the weather just isn’t cooperating, first-class wellness facilities await. In the vitality area, guests can relax in a vast sauna landscape, swim in an indoor pool, or breathe deep in the salt cave. In the beauty area, modern and traditional Asian treatments are offered, ranging from herbal baths to Ayurvedic massage and anti-aging treatments with exclusive brand name products.
Food & Drink: Cozy ambience & exquisite cuisine
Both hotel restaurants emphasize modern Austrian cuisine using ingredients from local vendors. Each morning a substantial breakfast buffet is served in the cozy wood-lined dining room. Lunch and dinner showcase delicious Tyrolian dishes with a modern touch. Gourmands should absolutely visit the hotel’s gourmet restaurant Hubertusstuben. Head chef Martin Schneider earned two chef’s hats from Gault Millau for his cuisine. Another highlight—a tiny fondue restaurant in an old ski gondola!
Sports & Leisure: Swimming pool, fitness and children’s club
In addition to countless summer and winter sports activities outside the hotel grounds, the Spa Hotel Jagdhof features an outdoor pool with sun terrace. There is also a fitness center with machines by Technogym. Parents who want to visit the spa or enjoy some alone time can be sure sure that their kids will be well taken care of at the kids club or youth club.
Location: Between mountains and river
The Relais & Châteaux Spa Hotel Jagdhof enjoys a wonderfully peaceful location in a beautiful landscape on the outskirts of Neustift in the Stubai Valley. Its grounds border on the shores of the Ruetz River. The rail station to the local ski and hiking areas is just a few hundred meters away.
