Der Steirerhof is located close to the thermal springs of Bad Waltersdorf and features a 3,000 m² large spa. Relaxtion here is reserved only for hotel guests and features 7 different pools with healing salt water, which helps with fatigue and musculoskeletal conditions. In addition, there are 10 saunas, a 28-metre long pool overlooking the beautiful spa region and Austria’s first ladies’ only spa. Guests in the "Garden of Eden" nudist area can enjoy private relaxation with their own lawn featuring protection against intruding eyes. The spa also offers acupuncture and other treatments based on traditional Chinese medicine. The hotel’s 30-member team, including sport scientists, offers individual counselling and support.

Der Steirerhof features a special kitchen with cuisine that is certified organic and serves a variety of biological products for a healthy diet. The kitchen team attaches importance to low-calorie, light and balanced menus. Only organic materials and colours were used in all the rooms. Also, there are 6 rooms that are specifically designed for allergy sufferers. On request the hotel offers a sleep consultation with individual choice of pillows. For early risers a day at the pool starts with coffee, tea, pastries and fruit. Later comes a rich breakfast buffet with 250 different options - including many organic products and freshly squeezed juices - served in the hotel lobby. Long sleepers will find this at their disposal until noon. Throughout the day there are fresh fruits, delicious soups and homemade strudel and cakes for the smaller appetite, which are included in the room rate. In the evening guests who dine at the award-winning restaurant can choose between 4 different menus with 5 courses each: Styrian Vital Mediterranean, fresh fish of the day, delicious vegetarian cuisine or the good classic cuisine. Masterchef Johann Pabst’s team creates dishes of the highest standard and thereby observes the latest nutritional knowledge. As the ideal companion for dinner, the on-site walk-in wine cellar provides a selection of 300 wines. The focus is on local wines from Austria and Styria in particular. Sommeliers advise guests when choosing the right wine to match the menu of the evening and are happy to share their knowledge at weekly wine tastings.
