Golf Hotel: 18-hole golf course right on your doorstep
Right next to the park grounds is the hotel’s own Castlemartyr golf course (18 holes, par 72). The well-kept course is surrounded on all sides by woodland, horse paddocks, meadows and barley fields. You can book tee-off times in the hotel itself. The club has its own club house as well as a pro shop. There’s also a chipping area and putting green if you fancy just practicing your swing. On request, the hotel can also organize private lessons from professional golf coaches.

From the outside of the Castlemartyr Resort you can tell from the glass-build extension that this historic property has received a modern facelift; inside, the décor is also a mix of historic grandeur and modern spirit. The main restaurant at the Castlemartyr Resort is the Bell Tower Restaurant. This is where you can tuck into a fantastic breakfast in a historic manor house setting. In the evening, head chef Kevin Burke conjures up classic European gourmet dishes with an Irish twist. On Sundays there’s also a lunch menu. The second restaurant, Franchini’s, serves gourmet Italian a la carte cuisine in the evenings. An absolute must is the daily afternoon tea which includes an exclusive selection of teas as well as wonderful sandwiches and homemade scones with cream and jam.
Leisure & Sport: Golf, spa & riding
The stand-out leisure amenities are the golf course and swimming pool. You can also book authentic horse and carriage trips or hire bikes for discovering the local area. On request, the hotel are also happy to organize some typical Irish country sports for you, like archery, riding or clay pigeon shooting.

The Castlemartyr Resort is situated in the village of the same name on the south coast of Ireland, around 20 minutes (30km) by car from the town of Cork.
