This historic hotel in Portugal is located a few kilometers east of Moncao on the Rio Minho. The estate is from the ownership of a Brazilian emigrant, who purchased it in the 19th century and transformed it into an impressive country residency. Today, the romantic hotel belongs to the Alves Moreira couple, that maintained nearly all of the constructor’s original plans intact during the remodeling and renovation of the guesthouse. A pool was one welcome addition. The cottages offer 6 charming apartments and the impressive manor house provides a meeting point with a fireplace lounge, pool table and dining room.
Living at the Quinta de Santo Antonio
Quaint traditionally decorated apartments are what this charming country house hotel in northern Portugal have to offer. Terracotta tiled floors, solid wood furniture and romantic bare quarrystone walls create a unique romantically rustic atmosphere. Every apartment provides a kitchenette, a living area, sleeping space for two or four people and a bathroom.
