The location of the Suite Art Navona couldn’t be more perfect – there is hardly an attraction in the historic city center that cannot be reached on foot in 15 minutes from here. Tucked away on a narrow side street in the city center, the hotel blends the history of the Italian capital with modern amenities in each of its guest rooms (brand-name flat-screen TVs, kettles, quality beds, bathrobes and slippers). Its very attentive hotel staff also offer 24-hour service.
If you’re looking for a small hotel which relies more on its charm than its facilities for your city break to Rome, you’ll love the Suite Art Navona. The rooms are divided into three categories, and whilst not all of them are particularly spacious, they do all offer a really beautiful place to stay in a smart and inviting design. Part of the manor house is a tower from the middle age, which gives its exterior a further special touch and ensures for further interesting architectural details in the rooms.
The Suite Art Navona hotel is spread over the first and fourth floor of an elegant old townhouse. Behind a pale pink facade with traditional wooden shutters hides an attractive room design in a contemporary Italian style featuring striped patterns, dark wood floors, black and white photographs on the walls and smart bathrooms complete with rain showers. Black wooden floors and red velvet let the room appear elegant together with the designer lights you will be indulged in a real homey feeling. Real highlights in some rooms are the beautifully restored stucco ceilings and the rustic wall decorations. The big portal, the marble hall and the antique elevator submit a real historic atmosphere.
The hotel does not serve breakfast, so then guests have the pleasant choice to start the day culinary in one of the many cafes like the "Mariotti": There are a la carte American breakfasts, including the finest Italian coffee specialties and freshly squeezed orange juice. In case of nice weather you can sit outside by the tables with the typical red-white tablecloth and enjoy the beautiful view of Piazza Navona. For all other meals there is an excellent choice of restaurants in the area, especially around the picturesque Piazza Navona square.
The hotel is an ideal base for exploring the culture and history of Rome. Most of the top sights are within walking distance from the hotel, including the Pantheon (5 mins), Trevi Fountain (10 mins) and Vatican (15 mins). The many small lanes in the historic district Parione invite you to amble around and go shopping. The original Trastevere is easily reachable by foot from the hotel. You can find idyllic market life at the nearby Campo dei Fiori.
The hotel is located just a few steps away from its namesake - the Piazza Navona, a beautiful square that reflects baroque Rome with its attractive buildings and water fountains. This unique atmosphere attracts not only tourists but also Romans who come and enjoy the numerous coffees and restaurants, while watching the lively atmosphere of artists showing or selling their pieces. The rooms are situated on the first and fourth floor and are pleasantly quite thanks to double soundproof windows and the hotels location next to a less busy side street.
