Hotel description

Nestled in the Vega of Granada, the fertile sun-soaked plains around the Andalusian city of the same name, this snow-white Arabic manor house sets itself clearly apart from its surroundings. Combining its early medieval roots with modern interior design, the Hotel Finca La Marquesa expertly transforms urban sleekness into modern minimalism. A total of 11 uniquely furnished rooms are available, with 9 double rooms and 2 suites. Outside these historic walls there is a spacious pool covered with a wood awning on 3 sides, a vegetable garden, and a peaceful terrace.
Historic Hotel: Moorish architecture & sleek design
Originally constructed in the 13th century—the time of Moorish rule—this centuries-old Andalusian manor house will thrill culture buffs with its beautiful architectural details and a magnificent all-round atmosphere. Its interior design hinges on the connection between historical elements and trendy design. Almost no wall decorations or usual living accessories are to be found, since there are original details to uncover everywhere which draw the eye and make the spaces authentically comfortable. Rustic wood beam construction, artful ceiling paintings, hand-carved doors and antique wall tiles are all combined with modern furniture and stylish baths.
Rural Hotel: Estate with a view of the Sierrra Nevada
The Hotel Finca La Marquesa is only a few kilometers away from the city border of Granada. Nevertheless, the stretch of land around the hotel is typically Andalusian (Vega de Granada), its fertile soil providing a broad range of agriculture. Standing alone, this gleaming-white, palatial building includes a quiet courtyard so you can find peace at any time of day or year.
Food & Drink: Andalusian cuisine at the highest level
Connected with the Hotel is the Restaurant La Marquesa. Here hotel guests and outside visitors enjoy authentic Andalusian cuisine for lunch and dinner in a wonderful atmosphere. Head chef Juan Andrés Morilla is known well beyond the region. Real Andalusian dishes made from local products (some of them actually produced on the grounds themselves) are the focus, prepared at the highest level but served without unnecessary formalities. An idyllic outdoor terrace provides the perfect setting for a meal.
Location: Just outside of Granada
The Hotel Finca La Marquesa is 1.5 km away from the southern border of Granada, right in the Vega de Granada. On these fruitful plains of the Genil river, typical regional agriculture is produced. Olive groves and vegetable fields stretch out all around the grounds. From this idyllic base, hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains (30 km) is almost as readily accessible as sightseeing in the city center. The Alhambra, for example, is only 5 km away.
