La Villa Clarisse is a branch of the Hotel de Toiras, just a few minutes away on foot, which is run by the same management. With only 9 guest rooms in a high-quality, lovingly designed villa, the ambience is more private and secluded here than in the main hotel. Whitewashed walls and pale red tile roofs, typical for the island, are surrounded by multiple walled gardens. Amidst a lush green courtyard atmosphere, there are several furnished terraces and a stylish pool offering total peace for reading, sunbathing and relaxing. The interior rooms of the villa—both public spaces and the rooms themselves—are styled in perfect harmony with the charming architecture: light-flooded spaces with feather-light design of gleaming white fabrics, solid wood and antique furniture ensure a thoroughly carefree vacation atmosphere.

The Villa Clarisse is just a brief walk (about 100m) from the town center of Saint-Martin-de-Ré. The island capital has only 2500 year-round inhabitants. Its attractions include the fortress grounds, which UNESCO declared to be a world cultural heritage site in 2008. Another point of attraction is the pleasure boat harbor 200 meters away, surrounded by countless restaurants, bars and bistros.
