The country house hotel Torre de Villademoros can be found by its guests in the region of Asturias, approximately 40 km west of Gijon in Northern Spain. The Hotel Torre de Villademoros
Torre is Spanish for tower. Not without good reason has this historic hotel in Asturias used the word tower in its name - the centerpiece of the old country property is a well-maintained watchtower dating back to the early middle ages. The impressive military building which dates back to the 9th century is under a preservation order. Today you will find the suite of the romantic hotel housed in the tower. A few meters away, the “younger” building of the Torre de Villademoros (from the 18th century) offers a further 10 rooms.
Interior design & atmosphere
Despite its original foundation walls you will already be able to see from the outside of the Hotel Torre de Villademoros in Asturias that inside its not all about the history. Modern panoramic windows and a façade half made out of glass lend the main building a modern touch. So you won’t be completely unprepared when you enter the trendy interior spaces of this exceptional design hotel. Nevertheless it is still quite an experience to find yourself standing between un-rendered granite stone walls and yet amongst this harmonious design world. The striking contrast between old and new defines the unique style of living at the Hotel Torre de Villademoros. Centuries old exposed stone work is combined with a stylish design in bright colors and soft shapes. In addition, large panoramic windows provide wonderful views over the soft meadows of the picturesque coastal landscape of Asturias. The perfect combination of nature, history and design!
The rooms
State of the art yet still cozy is the way to describe the ten guest rooms of the romantic hotel in Asturias. Rustic beamed ceilings, parquet floors and warm, successful color combinations create the atmosphere. Soft designer furniture guarantees comfortable modern living. All rooms have an idyllic view over the surrounding garden and the green landscape and some have views of the tower and the sea.
Communal hotel areas
On the ground floor of the main building the monastery hotel Torre de Villademoros offers a colorfully decorated lounge, which opens out onto the garden. Here you can make yourself at home, listen to music, read or, in the winter, sit by a crackling log fire. Next to the lounge there is a light dining room with terrace and view over the garden of the charming Asturias hotel.
