Built in 2014, the Sport Residenz Zillertal features welcoming natural furnishings combined with modern facilities. In the 22 rooms and suites with terrace and their own infrared cabins, the hotel offers a private and exclusive atmosphere. On the rooftop terrace, guests can enjoy the mountain views from the infinity pool. A spa area with saunas, private suites and a free private shuttle to the nearby ski area round off the services at this exclusive establishment.
Spa Hotel: Infinity pool with views of the Zillertal Alps, private suites
Guests can use the 400m² wellness area "CLOUD7" in the Sport Residenz Zillertal which feels—in the truest sense of the phrase—like seventh heaven. Across the 60qm infinity pool guests can enjoy a unique vista as they swim the 8m lengths up and down the roof of the hotel. Light sauna, saunas, including Finnish and steam baths provide relaxation. Massages, body treatments, peels, and aromatherapy provide a treat for body and soul. The hotel rooms are equipped with infrared cabins, and in the suites guests can enjoy their own private spa with sauna.
Ski Hotel: Close to the ski area, free private shuttle to the slopes
Only 4 km away from the Sport Residenz you will find the "Ski Optimal Hochzillertal" ski area. From the start of the annual season in late November skiers and snowboarders come here to seek the blue, red and black slopes across countless kilometres at an elevation of 2,350m. For beginners there is a ski school and numerous rental opportunities for any of the equipment you may require. In addition to various ski arrangements there are also snowshoe and winter hiking tours available through the snow-covered landscape. Another special service is the free private Sport Residenz shuttle, which takes guests to the valley station of the Hochzillertal mountain railway and brings them back to the hotel at the end of the day.
4 Star Hotel: Cosy country house rooms with their own infrared cabin
The architecture team "Die Wohnkultur" emphasised sustainability when planning the building in 2014, and all the energy required for operations at the hotel is self-generated. The 22 rooms and the exterior facade are decorated with sustainable natural materials and fit seamlessly into the remarkable nature of the Zillertal region. In the style of a modern country house the establishment is contemporary in its design, but also without traditional charm. The spacious rooms exude a warm and welcoming atmosphere with a lot of light wood, large panoramic windows and comfortable seating areas. The double rooms are equipped with infrared cabins. In the suites guests enjoy their own private sauna, and the penthouse suite also features a bathing area and a relaxation space with mountain or valley views.
Food & Drink: Modern, light organic cuisine and dining with views of the surrounding nature
Breakfast is served as a buffet and features both hot and cold regional dishes in the "Genusswerkstatt Restaurant". The high quality kitchen lives up to its name, and the restaurant offers modern and light cuisine with a focus on whole foods and locally-sourced ingredients from organic farming. Thanks to the glass facades in the restaurant guests can look out over the Tyrolean mountains and the adjacent lake as they dine. The restaurant is open all day, with meals also served on the open-air terrace on warmer days. The corresponding bar invites you to enjoy a pleasant evening. Numerous wines and drinks from all over the world are served in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, all kinds of cigars are available in the cigar lounge.
Sports & Leisure: Spa, gym, ski and golf
In addition to private infrared cabins, bathing areas and saunas in their own room, guests can relax in the wellness area "CLOUD7" with infinity pool at the Sport Residenz Zillertal featuring a Finnish and light sauna and steam baths. The modern air-conditioned Fitness Centre is the best place for a daily workout; request a personal trainer who can offer help and advice. Thanks to the nearby ski resort, the hotel is ideal for visits in the winter. A private shuttle service takes you directly to the valley station of the nearby ski resort "Ski-Optimal Hochzillertal". In the summer there are also numerous activities available; on the hotel’s own 18-hole golf course guests can use the driving range and green with a fee discount of 20%. In addition, there is a premium indoor golf facility with putting area as well as pitching and chipping system including sand bunkers, and a well-equipped golf shop located in the hotel. The surrounding mountains can be explored by way of mountaineering, rock climbing, hiking, or mountain biking. Bike and horse-riding tours are also an option. Only 5km away from the hotel you will find the small peak of Stummerberg, which even untrained athletes can hike or bike ride to the top of thanks to its moderate height.
Location: In the middle of the Zillertal mountain world
The Sport Residenz Zillertal lies in the small town of Uderns in the Tyrolean Zillertal, one of the most pristine areas of the Alps. In a quiet side street in the centre of town, the surrounding mountains are always visible. The River Ziller is only 500 metres away. If you are arriving from Germany by car you can do so via the Inner Valley motorway. The nearest airport is in Innsbruck, which is about 50 km from the hotel.
