Rural Hotel: Style and comfort combined
The hotel is situated in a secluded corner of Schleswig-Holstein, between Hamburg, Sylt and Flensburg. Here, you can unwind amid unspoiled forests and meadows. The regional capital Kiel is not far, and the Baltic Sea is only 30km away. All rooms are decorated in tasteful neutral tones and using the best natural materials. There are Standard and Comfort rooms with views of the garden, forest or lake - some including a balcony. The Seehotel Töpferhaus is located directly on Lake Bistensee in the Hüttener Mountains Nature Park, a hilly landscape of forests, meadows and remote villages - perfect for hiking and cycling. All kinds of water sports are possible on the lake, where fishing is also permitted. The water is very clear and excellent for bathing, and reputedly has a very calming effect. Guests will also appreciate the large garden terrace and lawn, great for sunbathing overlooking the lake. Comfortable sun loungers are provided and there is a long jetty stretching from the hotel onto the lake.

Location: Impressive views of lake and forest
The hotel is located in Alt-Duvenstedt (Am See 1). The nearest town Rendsburg, with motorway connection, is 11km away. From here, guest should take the A7 motorway, and then take the Owschlag exit. The state capital Kiel is 28km from the hotel. The city of Schleswig, where a remarkable castle and museum are ripe for discovery, as well as Eckernförde, with its large harbour and idyllic bay, can also be reached easily from the hotel.

Meanwhile, swimming, water skiing, windsurfing, sailing and diving are all possible on the Bistensee. There is also a boat rental service, where guests can hire canoes or rowing boats. The hotel is also ideally situated for long hikes through the magnificent beech forest of the nature park. The nearest Baltic Sea beach at Noer is only about 20 minutes drive away. The nearby city of Kiel and town of Rendsburg offer shopping and culture. Children and families will appreciate getting close to nature at the Erlebniswald (adventure forest) Trappenkamp, the Weißenhäuser Strand amusement park, as well as the various adventure swimming pools and spas in the area.
