It’s a bit of a climb up a whole set of stairs to reach this gem of a hotel in the heart of Fira, the capital of the island of Santorini. But you’ll quickly forget all about them when you’re sitting on your own private terrace, 400m above the deep blue caldera with a perfectly mixed cocktail in your hand. The friendly hotel staff will take care of your luggage, as well as all your needs right from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. As well as the 12 suites, each with their own terrace, spread over 6 levels, the Porto Fira Suites hotel also boasts a large communal terrace with swimming pool and excellent breakfast.
Romantic: Bright-white suites & gorgeous sunsets
All of the suites take on the cave-like architecture that is so typical to the island. Brilliant white plastered walls, white upholstered furniture and wardrobes made from solid dark wood create a romantic feel. During the day the cave rooms are surprisingly bright, and in the evening low lighting and candles provide a great atmosphere. The suites are divided into three categories of different sizes and facilities: the Petite Suite (2 people), Grand Suite (2-3 people) and Deluxe Suite (2-4 people). All of them have their own panoramic-view terrace and a modern bathroom; the top two categories also boast a Jacuzzi.
Nature: Terrace to catch the sunset
Each terrace at the Porto Fira Suites is like your own royal box, ideal for watching this stunning spectacle of nature. The sunsets on Santorini are considered to be some of the most beautiful in the world, and are best enjoyed right here. But in the daytime too, when the color of the water changes depending on the position of the sun, huge cruise ships cross the caldera and even at night when the coastline turns into a sea of lights, the view from this spot alone is worth the trip.
Eating & drinking: Excellent breakfast
A day at the Porto Fira Suites also begins on the terrace with a delicious breakfast including a good selection of items for health-conscious guests. During the day and in the evening you can have drinks and snacks brought to you in your room. It’s just a 5-10-minute walk from the center of Fira with its wide range of restaurants. The hotel staff are also more than happy to recommend the best places for you to dine.

The hotel is situated on the steep hillside right in Fira, a pleasantly quiet location about 100m below the main shopping street with magnificent views over the typical white houses, the volcanic caldera and some of the other Cyclades islands. It is only accessible via steps.
