The location of this well-run 4-star hotels on Lake Wörthersee could not be bettered. It lies on a narrow spit of land that juts into the lake, so most rooms have a wonderful view of the lake. In addition to this, the Parkhotel Pörtschach exudes an authentic sixties style, fitting with the spirit of the times. Many elements, such as for example the elevator or the bar, are originals from the hotel’s opening in 1963. Some of the guest rooms have been completely renovated and completely refurnished in the style of that time. The 200 guest rooms are at the cutting edge of home comforts, featuring air conditioning, modern technology and comfortable bathrooms. In addition, one can professional and very friendly service in all areas.
Hotel by the lake: Fantastic lake views & the hotel’s own bathing beach
The Park Hotel Pörtschach is located on headland directly opposite the flowery island, which is far out into the lake. The lake reaches as far as the hotel grounds from two sides. In summer there is a lawn for sunbathing with direct access to the lake on its doorstep. At the hotel’s own private beach sun loungers on a wooden pier, rowboats, Tretboder and Stand Up Paddle Boards are also available. Last but not least, many rooms have a fantastic view of the lake.

Staying at the Park Hotel Pörtschach already guarantees a relaxing effect, but to be absolutely sure that no symptom of stress survives the holidays, it’s well worth paying an occasional visit to the feel-good island. In the hotel’s own spa area, a small indoor pool (8m x 13.5m) awaits you as well as various saunas and steam rooms and a relaxation room overlooking the lake. Besides this, you can also choose from a wide range of massages and beauty treatments, such as a sea salt scrub or a silk glove massage.

A day in the Park Hotel Poertschach begins with a rich and varied breakfast buffet, which is available from 07.00 to 10.30 a.m. in the main restaurant. From 18:00 until 21:00 p.m. dinner service is also offered here, consisting of a 4-course choice menu which changes every day. Alternatively, in summer you can eat al fresco in the Palmenrestaurant and its adjoining bar. For lunch you can choose from a small menu both in the hotel and on the beach.
Leisure & Sport: Fitness, tennis and golf.
Near the hotel’s bathing beach, tennis fans can find tennis courts and golf players a putting green. A gym is also available. Two 18-hole golf courses are within reach of a few minutes: Moosburg-Pörtschach (6km) and Velden Kösternberg (18km).
