Leisure activities abound, such as collecting mussels on the beach a few feet away, surfing or watching dolphins, eating breakfast with an ocean view, enjoying a high-class romantic dinner, or relaxing in the afternoon on lounge chairs.
Beach hotel: Surfing, sailing and whale watching
A mere 5 minute walk from the Marina Suites, Puerto Rico’s beach awaits, boasting the finest white sand, nestled in a wind-protected bay. All imaginable watersports are on offer for more active beach vacationers: diving and surfing for children and adults, a sailing school, parasailing, and above all professionally-led boat tours for whale and dolphin-watching.
Apartments: Large, bright and family friendly
The Marina Suites includes 262 well-lit, spacious suites (70 to 90 m²), all of which have a large balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean. In addition, each suite has its own living room and a well-equipped kitchen unit.
Family: From Child’s Pool to mini club
The Marina Suites considers itself to be a family hotel in a comprehensive sense. In the extra-large family suites, smaller and larger families can spread out like at home. Small individual kitchens round out the necessities for a real family experience. Hot water bottles, a baby tub and a changing table can be rented. Children’s beds and high chairs are available for free on request. Further amenities include a year-round heated children’s pool with play area, a library specifically intended for children and a mini-disco. In the mini club, children from 4 to 14 are taken care of and entertained with various shows, activities and competitions. For small children, individual care can be specially arranged.
Food & Drink: Elegant restaurants, yacht club and high-class breakfast buffet
At breakfast on the large breakfast terrace, a wide range of treats awaits: delicious coffee, crispy bread, sweet pastries, fresh juices and a fancy assortment of cheese and cold-cuts. Two restaurants are run by the Marina Suites: a buffet restaurant (Allegretto) and an exclusive evening restaurant with Canarian specialties, fish and international cuisine (El Beso). In addition, the hotel puts on culinary theme nights, and offers vegetarian and gluten-free dishes as well as diet cuisine.
Athletics & Leisure: Whirlpool, water park and golf
Besides the large outdoor pool bordering the sea, the hotel offers two jacuzzis, various massage deals, physical therapy care, and a cozy billiards room. A tennis court is only a few feet away, and a short drive takes you to the Anfi Tauro golf course. A few miles further inland is Palmitos Park, which contains a wide range of wildlife, as well as Aqualand, the largest water park on Gran Canaria, where various water slides are guaranteed to excite (not just for the kids!). In Puerto Rico itself, there’s an active night life with restaurants, bars and clubs for spending a pleasant evening.
