The Le Palais Paysan calls itself the ’garden of the Talaa 12’, its sister hotel, which you’ll find in the historic center of Marrakech. And it certainly lives up to its nickname – this brand-new country hotel which is situated about 25km from the city gates of the Moroccan metropolis is a truly idyllic garden where you can just relax and let your mind wander. Its 18 guest rooms are housed in light brown cuboid bungalows. In each one you’ll love the stylish decor with both traditional Moroccan and internationally fashionable elements. The bathrooms are particularly attractive with their simple elegance created by ancient handicraft work and natural colors. In the garden there’s a spacious swimming pool that’s long enough to swim in and which offers incredible panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.

The Le Paysan Palais enjoys a beautiful natural location in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. The landscape around the hotel grounds is very sparsely populated and dominated by agriculture with crops and sheep. Scattered between are oak forests, olive groves and the odd village. There are plenty of interesting hiking, riding and mountain bike tours that you can book from the hotel itself. One of the main highlights at the Le Palais Paysan is the enchanting views right over the flat valley as far as the High Atlas Mountains. To make the most of these views book a room on the top floor. Each of the rooms has its own private outdoor area: the rooms on the ground floor a terrace; the rooms on the upper floor a balcony.

Another highlight at the Le Palais Paysan is its small but beautiful hammam spa with a traditional steam bath where you can also enjoy a range of treatments including a Moroccan soap massage. Outside there’s a spacious swimming pool, 28 meters in length, with comfortable sun beds with sun shades made from reeds, and breathtaking views over the mountains. For a romantic bath in the evening light the outdoor hot tub is perfect, and it also offers fantastic countryside views.
