Two silent guardians of history
The rather mystic, enchanted atmosphere that envelops the romantic wellness hotel “La Melosa” is typical of locations with a long history. What is now known as the wellness hotel La Melosa estate, was in medieval times called San Cassiano. The parish church was dedicated to Saint Cassiano, an oriental monk from the 4th century, who became famous as a writer of tracts on the location and organisation of remote monastic structures in the Christian era. Even if there is no clear evidence to document it, it seems likely that the two majestic holm oak trees to the North of the estate mark the location of a historic Benedictine monastery, where a small convent was established at the beginning of the 11th century.

Tuscany: Charming landscapes
The romantic La Melosa Resort stands in the medieval village of Roccastrada, in one of the most suggestive and charming areas of the Tuscan countryside. The Resort La Melosa was built in the surrounding countryside of Roccastrada on the ruins of a Parish. It is situated on the plateau that acts as a watershed between the Rai river to the South and the Seguentina river to the North. The hotel consists of 12 rooms, each named after a plant or flower, symbolizing the close tie to nature the hotel offers. All have been fitted with water cooling under the floor and offer personalized frescoes. In addition, every room includes a HDSL internet connection, satellite-TV, mini-bar, direct line telephone, safe and hair-dryer. The hotel offers two rooms for smokers (Ulivo and Mirtillo). La Melosa Resort has its own, refined restaurant. The restaurant is both, cosy and welcoming, an exclusively refined environment that offers food lovers the chance to explore the classic flavour of Tuscan cuisine and rediscover the taste of high quality seasonal products. Dishes are always served corresponding to the season, providing superior quality and the freshest ingredients.

The treatments offered at the wellness hotel La Melosa Resort follow the philosophy of “finding your natural balance”.
