Relais Osteria dell’Orcia occupies a finely restored 17th century horse and carriage station located along the Via Francigena, in the vicinity of Bagno Vignoni, where pilgrims from Northern Europe on the way to Rome regularly sought rest and refreshment, and changed their horses. Down to the present day, these old buildings have maintained a historical character outside and in, with weathered tile roofs and stone walls.

The village of Bagno Vignoni is situated on the opposite shore, reachable on foot in 15 minutes. Anyone looking for a few days of rest in a place with typical Tuscan flair has struck gold here.
