      The Boutique Hotel Kazbek
      A wealthy aristocratic family had this city palace built as their summer residence in the bay of Gruž in the middle of the 16th century. After a turbulent history, it was completely restored and converted into a boutique hotel a few years ago. A well-maintained outdoor area including a restaurant terrace and an open-air lounge overlooking the harbor offers ample opportunity to admire the beautiful old building. A red terracotta-tiled swimming pool in the back of the hotel is the best outdoor spot, very quiet and sheltered by big stone walls and a tall hedge. To top it all off, a classic decor with elegant striped patterns, wooden furniture and Persian rugs lend the interiors fantastic historic charm.

      The hotel offers 12 very spacious double rooms and one suite - some of them overlooking the quiet courtyard and others the pool. The rooms are elegantly furnished with parquet flooring in a herringbone pattern. Just as beautiful and comfortable as the rooms themselves are the en-suite bathrooms. For an especially romantic stay book the Kazbek Suite. Located in the eaves of the building, the magnificent suite boasts impressive exposed wooden beams.
