Lovely hotel full of rustic charm. Very quiet spot. Delicious local wine from their vineyard. Food in the restaurant was very good.Lucy Smith, May 2015
Very difficult to get to unless you have your own car and a GPS. Rooms are nice, clean and decorated to reflect typical Tuscany. Bathrooms are large and clean. Facilities: Did not try the spa so can’t comment but the remainder was disappointing. - tennis court is very nice but a bit overrun with plants and quite a distance from the hotel - horse back riding is contracted out and you must somehow get yourself to another farm 15 minutes up the road - table tennis is a table that is right in front of the archery target - archery, equipment is old and most the arrows have lost their feathers. The target is a piece of paper on a corkboard that is swollen with rain and is falling apart. Below the target are two rotting bales of straw, so rancid that arrows lost inside of it would not be retrieved. The netting behind the target, meant to stop arrows from flying into the ravine, has torn and fallen down and is useless. - wine tours, the vineyard is all around the hotel so not a huge point in paying 60euro for a tour - there are three pools and a hot tub here but wait! One pool is private, it belongs to the owners. One pool is for the hotel guests but it was cloudy and very cold. The third pool is very near to an apartment/cabin and is inside a green house. This would be perfect for cool days but it was absolutely green with the algae; disgusting. The hot tub, also near to another cabin, was tiny and filled with dead leaves. Food -breakfast was good, a large spread - lunch was cold cut meats, a piece of cheese and some bread for 10 euro a plate -dinner was a small menu which would be fine if the chef was as talented as he was creative. Meals were creative but lacked flavor. Wine was good. Which was great, because we stayed in our rooms and read and drank a lot of wine.Adam Guiney, August 2014

The wine cellar is modern and tastings take place in a welcoming room where guests can learn all of the characteristics of the Chianti Classico produced at Casa al Vento.
Moreover, the hotel has a medieval restaurant where every day a typical menu of Tuscany is proposed, with an ever-ready barbecue. Guests may relax alongside the swimming pool or practice different sports including tennis, archery and horse-riding.
The wine cellar can be used for meetings and it is possible to organize any kind of events in the wonderful garden with panoramic view.
