When you’ve finally managed to drag yourself away from the grand frescoed ceilings and the stunning fireplace, you can turn your attention to the rest of the hotel. And there’s plenty to explore: As well as its historically furnished rooms and suites, the Grand Hotel Villa Balbi also offers a beautiful, large garden with huge old trees. This is also where you’ll find the well-maintained pool with both shady spots and places to soak up the sun. And on the opposite side of the road there is a beach just for hotel guests. Start the day on the sheltered restaurant terrace with a delicious, traditional Italian breakfast of tempting sweet treats, local cheese and ham, a variety of pastries and excellent coffee!
Accommodation
Some of the guest rooms are located in the old Villa Balbi. The rest are housed in a separate new-build. With their individual historic furniture and elegant tiled bathrooms, the decor of the rooms is in-keeping with the beautiful Rococo style of the villa. For a really romantic break, book one of the suites on the top floor with private roof terrace and stunning views over Sestri Levante.
