History
Legend has it that the land surrounding the Luxury Hotel Son Net on Mallorca once belonged to a nobleman who made his money as a pirate in the 12th century. The present building of the romantic Hotel Son Net dates back mainly to the 17th century, when it served as a country retreat for an aristocratic family from Palma. Later a vast olive oil press was added to the grand estate. Most recently restored in 1998 the 5 Star Luxury Hotel Son Net on Mallorca remains reminiscent of the house’s past and of local architectural traditions.
Traditional cuisine
The impressive centenary oil press of the Luxury Hotel Son Net on Mallorca was converted into the gourmet restaurant called Oleum Mallorca, offering the best quality dishes based on traditional Mallorcan cuisine. Mediterranean ingredients are combined to make exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented dishes. In the summer, the poolside Gazebo restaurant offers freshly grilled dishes prepared in an old stone oven in an enchanting spot with spectacular views over the valley of Puigpunyent on Mallorca.
