Leisure & sport: Hiking, skiing, golfing and bike riding
In the summer there’s plenty of reason to get active and try some new sports – services include tour guides for hikers, packed picnic lunches, advice and maps if you want to set out on your own, plus equipment hire. You can also hire bikes and e-bikes, and golfers can enjoy reduced green fees at the Golf Club Pustertal, just 300m away. In the winter skiers and snowboarders head to the Plan de Corones ski area. The hotel’s own shuttle service runs at regular times in the morning to drop you at the ski lift, and will pick you up again in the afternoon. The winter sports services at the hotel are excellent too – from the provision of ski passes at reception, to ski lessons for all ages to a ski guide and nighttime sledging, they have everything covered.

The seasonal Alpine cuisine by head chef Karl Volgger is served in 6 rustic cabins in a traditional Alpine style. The day begins with a choice of sweet and savory items from the gourmet breakfast buffet. In the evening you can enjoy refined, Mediterranean-influenced dishes from this culinary master combined with a good-quality selection of wine from the very best South Tyrolean vintners. The chef has a particular interest in herbs and seasoning: once a week he’s happy to give interested guests a tour of his lovingly tended-to organic garden. For unforgettable desserts visit the hotel’s own patisserie. If you’re planning a day on the slopes or out walking, then the hotel will also make you a wonderful picnic lunch.
