A Victorian country manor, Currarevagh House was built in 1842 on the shores of Lough Corrib, Galway by a Hodgson and is still owned and run, six generations later, by the same family.

Set in 180 acres of stunning private parkland and woodland that sweep down to the lough, this romantic 4 star hotel in Ireland has a choice of 15 comfortable bedrooms with views either over the lake or of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Each unique room has its own ensuite and is furnished with antique furniture and good old fashioned elegance.

Breakfast is served buffet-style from the sideboard in the dining room and consists of the traditional Irish breakfast, home made muesli and soda bread, croissants or cold meats and cheeses. Scrumptious afternoon tea can be enjoyed in this romantic hotel by a peat fire between 4.30 and 6 while, silver-served with class and style, the five course set dinner (which changes daily) is punctually at 8 and is announced to guests by a gong.
