Vabbinfaru means "round island" and is a tropical paradise surrounded by a coral reef. The resort is located in a peaceful, secluded location near the larger Angsana Ihuru Island, not far from the international airport in Malé. The spacious and luxuriously furnished villas boast bedrooms with open terraces overlooking the sea, as well as a private garden. A house reef invites guests to dive and snorkel and the multi-award-winning spa offers an extensive range of massages, body treatments and beauty treatments.

All of the villas sit directly on the white, fine-sanded beach of the atoll and enjoy an uninterrupted view of the crystal clear, shimmering turquoise waters of the lagoon. The Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru was partially renovated in 2014 and all villas are styled in a modern design with king size beds, open bathrooms, and a private pool and whirlpool. Some of the Oceanview Pool Villas also offer direct access to the fine-sanded beach, rainfall showers, rattan lounges and Thai-style pavilions, known as salas. The spacious villas are equipped with a mini bar, TV, DVD and CD player, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, and tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom comes stocked with high-quality cosmetic products, a hairdryer, bathrobes, as well as flip flops and slippers.
Eating & Drinking: Rich breakfast buffet, Asian cuisine, beach bar and open air restaurant
A rich breakfast buffet in the mornings consists of freshly prepared continental, English, French, American, and local dishes. Breakfast may also be served in guests’ rooms or terraces, upon request. The Asian-inspired typical island-style restaurant "Ilaafathi" is situated directly on the beach and serves a buffet in the afternoons and à la carte meals in the evenings. The focus is on Asian dishes, fresh seafood and international cuisine. Special dietary requirements are also catered for and vegetarian meals are available. The open air restaurant "Sangu" opens independent of the weather and serves mainly barbecue buffets as well as themed food in a tropical garden. The open air beach bar "Naiboli" serves aromatic appetizers, light meals and chilled cocktails with quiet background music. Every Friday evening, there is a drumming performance by local musicians.
