Good hotel in a very quiet area
This hotel was a little too formal in its atmosphere. Italian way of life didn't quite make the grade. Breakfast buffet offered Italian cheeses, salami and ham.

Magical little villa hotel outside of Lucca
I would definitely recommend the Albergo Villa Marta. This wonderfully restored, well maintained little villa with a separate building offers 16 lovely rooms and has its own small restaurant in the cellar, which services delicious Tuscan dishes and great wines. The hotel has a quiet location, just a few minutes drive from beautiful Lucca, with a large garden and pool with loungers. GOod base for day trips to Siena. Staff and owners really friendly and helpful. The cliente were nice (lots of middle aged couple) and a good international mix. We'll definitely come again!
