to begin as soon as possible.

Escapio.com is the leading booking portal for demanding, individual travelers, with a handpicked selection of unique hotels in the categories boutique, luxury and design. On our trilingual portal we offer 3,900 hotels in 31 different countries. Together with our sister company TripsByTips, we are a team of 20 people. Escapio.com is maintained by Escapio Ltd. in Berlin. Our partners are Burda Digital Ventures as well as w media ventures from Canada.

Your job

  • You are responsible for all marketing measures (SEO, SEM, SMM, Affiliate, E-Mail, CRM)
  • Development and implementation of a stringent and efficient online marketing strategy
  • Analysis, A/B testing, efficiency control and constant optimisation of all measures to increase awareness level and conversion rate
  • Supervision of two junior staff members
  • Supervision of external freelancers, consultants and agencies
  • Interfacing with product management
  • Supervision of the content production
  • Media purchases
  • Establishing cooperations suitable for target groups

    • Our requirements

  • At least four years of experience in online marketing, preferably in the travel branch (OTA, hotel chains etc.)
  • KPI-oriented way of working as well as a good knowledge of relevant analysis tools
  • Verifiable achievements in SEO, SEM, Affiliate Marketing and cooperations
  • Know how in creating content for SEO
  • Excellent networking skills in the online marketing scene
  • Wide experience in the Social Media field, particularly with blogs and Facebook
  • Good knowledge of PR mechanisms
  • Understanding of niche marketing for specific target groups
  • Experience in brand development and management

    Tripsbytips Ltd. in Berlin runs the online travel guide “TripsByTips”. The main focus of our work is the development of user-oriented solutions in the field of Social Media for tourism. For example, we run the biggest German-speaking Facebook-application in the tourism field (35,000 entries), we work with Facebook-Connect, we network with widgets, we integrate with offers from tourism partners, we share our content with the world via Twitter and RSS – in short: we aim to constantly maintain a high level of innovation speed in the IT field. Together with our sister company Escapio, we are a team of 20 people. Our partners are Burda Digital Ventures as well as w media ventures from Canada.

    Your job

    You will be developing sophisticated software applications. You will be working in a team of eight web developers, you will nevertheless deal with your workload individually. You will learn from the experiences of the other developers and will also contribute your own experiences. Compared to working in other teams, the position offers you a high degree of individual responsibility.

    Requirements

  • You are enthusiastic and passionate about IT.
  • You have at least three years of experience in professional projects.
  • You have very good knowledge of PHP5 / OOP, the use of SQL databases as well as object-oriented programming. Experience with CAKE and Jquery is a plus.
  • You are verifiably experienced in developing sophisticated web-based applications.
  • Tableless valid XHTML, CSS and JavaScript/Ajax are part of your daily routine.
  • You enjoy working independently and assuming individual responsibility, you are efficient and have high quality standards.
